ROSH HASHANA 5782 IN CROWN HEIGHTS

CROWN HEIGHTS (SHMAIS.com) Rosh Hashana 5782 around Crown Heights saw thousands of guests from around the world along with the locals helping fill the dozens of Shuls to their respective capacities.

The weather on Rosh Hashana was BH nice.

On both days of Rosh Hashana hundreds of Tmimim & Anash went of Mivtza Shofar to hundreds of places around the city including up and down Eastern Parkway. The Mivtzoim was arranged by Menachem Gerlitzky / Kollel Tiferes Zekaynim Levi Yitzchok.

At the Rebbe's Ohel close to a 1000 Bochurim as well as Yungeleit spent Rosh Hashana.

Those staying at the Ohel went throughout Queens, parts of Long Island and JFK on "Mivtza-Shofar".

Shofar – R’ Sholom Tenenbaum – The first Shofar that he started to try blowing with “didn’t go” so after a couple tries he used another Shofar.

Before Tekios R' Nachman Schapiro read a short part of a Sicha from the Rebbe and then the crowd sung all of the Rebbeims' niggunim for about 20-25 minutes. 

Davening ended @ lerech 2:47pm, 1 hour and 7 minutes later than last year, but last year 1^st day was Shabbos.

Downstairs in 770 towards the end of Shabbos the "oilom" washed for a Farbrengen. The Farbrengen included the singing of all the Rebbeims' niggunim, and the Chazzering of a Maamer.
