Put yeast and warm water into a mixing bowl. Add a teaspoon of sugar. Let yeast rise approx. 10 min. When the yeast has risen, add 1/4 cup sugar, oil, egg, salt, vanilla and flour. (Make sure the creamer is/has been warmed or warm it now in the microwave.) Pour creamer on top of flour. Place bowl into mixer and knead for 3 minutes on low. Let dough rise for one and a half hours.

Roll the dough about 1/2 inch thick. With a cookie cutter, cut out round circles. Spray cookie sheet. Lay them on the cookie sheet far apart from each other. Rise for 1/2 hour. Heat up the oil to 400° - very hot. Drop a few sufganiot into the oil. Cook no more than 2 minutes on each side. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon. Drain them on paper towels in a bowl.

    Cover with powdered sugar.
